CULL GDK Licensing

CULL GDK Licence Terms
The CULL GDK is distributed in line with the terms of the GNU Lesser Public Licence (LGPL).  This basically means that you get the entire source and binaries free of charge, and are able to use them as you see fit as long as you:
  • Post any modifications to the CULL GDK back to the community
  • Pass on the CULL GDK source with all copyrights intact
  • Make it clear where you have customised it.

The licence makes a fair distinction between projects that 'use' the CULL GDK, and those that are 'based on' the GDK.  If your project uses the CULL GDK, and doesn't not build on it, then you are totally within your rights to make your own project closed source.  If, however, you project builds on the work of the GDK, then you are obliged to make your project open sourced also.

While the above covers the basics of the LGPL, you are advised to read the entire licence before using the CULL GDK.

Using The GDK For Commercial Projects
You are within your rights to develop commercial games using the CULL GDK with no limitations other than the ones above.

We would be more than grateful if your project could acknowledge the use of the CULL GDK at start up, if only just to boost our own egos!
